Chiropractic Tax Benefits

It’s tax time again and everyone is looking for ways to maximize their return (or minimize the damage). One of the lesser known deductions is authorized medical expenses, which includes Chiropractic services in Nova Scotia. This allows any out of pocket expenses (not already covered by your third party insurance coverage) to be claimed on your income tax return. Each province has a different set of guidelines regarding which professions qualify on your taxes, so it is recommended that you take a look at the following CRA chart.

Having this option for Chiropractic care is a nice benefit, especially since most third party payers do not offer robust insurance plans for Chiropractic. Yet another reason to have your spine evaluated!
