June Orthotics Offer

Pain in your feet when you walk, run, and stand can be intolerable.

It can prevent you from living an active lifestyle, going to the mall, exercising the dog and playing with your kids. It can even keep you from living an independent life if it affects your ability to remain mobile and complete simple tasks like going for groceries.

Did you know that pain you experience in your knees, hips and low back can sometimes be a result of dysfunction in your feet?

It’s true, the feet are the foundation of the whole body (literally!) and when something is wrong with them it can impact how the structures in other parts of your body are moving. This dysfunction can lead to poor mechanics in the movements we perform everyday and ultimately we end up with pain.

Correcting this poor movement that starts in the feet can be the key to resolving many long term nagging pains that just seem to always come back. Detecting these faulty mechanics in the foot and ankle are the first step.

At Village Wellness the health practitioners are using modern technology coupled with a hands on clinical exam to determine who has poor foot biomechanics or anatomical variants and can benefit from the use of custom orthotics. A computerized dynamic foot scan will analyze how you walk by looking at 8 key points along the bottom surface of you foot at a rate of 150 scans/second. The data can tell an interesting story of how your body performs when you are moving and may help in diagnosing conditions at the knees, hips and low back. If you are a candidate for custom orthotics then a clinical exam will be performed along with a cast of each foot.

During the month of June, Village Wellness is offering a Complimentary Foot Scan and Analysis to anyone interested.  This is a unique opportunity to learn more about how everything in your body works together, starting from the feet up, with no obligations or cost!  Call 835-5033 to make your 20 minute appointment and discover what your feet have to tell about your body.
